Review: Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream.

I'm not usually disappointed by Collection products, after all my holy-grail concealer is the the Lasting Perfection range; but I definitely have mixed feelings on these lip creams.

They come in 3 colours-

Cotton Candy 1- is a beautiful pink-mauve shade; which I believe to be extremely similar to Mac Whirl lipliner. These lipcreams are all incredibly pigmented and apply the same colour shown from the packaging.

Fairy Cake 2- is a gorgeous pink toned coral; very similar to Cotton Candy 1, only with an subtle orange undertone to it. I'd say that this colour especially suits pale skin tones very well, it really does the 'Classic Rose' look justice.

Powder Puff 3- is a true pale nude; completely different to the other 2 shades in the range, its such a unique colour, although in my opinion, when applied it does resemble the dreaded 'concealer lips'.

These products have doughfoot applicators, which are amazing for applying evenly & getting a crisp line to your lipstick.

These lipcreams are an exact dupe for the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams (the scent, formula & packaging). Only Nyx have a vaster range of shades- Collection's is definitely more limited to nudes and more 'everyday' shades.

All of the lipcreams have a velvet finish to them, but are very very drying after application- especially Powder Puff. The best advice I can give if you're trying this range out is to exfoliate and moisturise your lips beforehand, as they will definitely show up cracks & lines all over them, so be cautious.

On a slightly lighter note, the staying power on these isn't too bad, as their formula gives a matte finish- but will start flaking off after a couple of hours (without eating/drinking).

My overall opinion on the Cream Puff Lip Creams is disappointing, I do love to colours and pigmentation but the finish and staying power don't do them justice at all. The packaging claims that these creams are 'Moisturising'- completely wrong! I love Collection as a brand, although this kind of product quality isn't what I'd normally expect from them.
